Timothy Mendez

Abraham Sandy

Timothy Mendez grew up in Western Nebraska recent Scottsbluff Senior High Graduate of the 2024 class. Timothy started chasing storms little before COVID around 2018, got fond of the weather sci-fi and became more involved with lots of training from the National Weather Service Spotter Trainings and still continuing to learn as he is starting to chase the midwest as a career & was connected to Dakota McGee’s knowledge around Big Dawg NE Colorado Storm Chasers.

Abraham Sandy was born and raised in Dayton, OH, and still loved there during the 2019 Memorial Day Tornado Outbreak where he helped with debris clean up. Abraham has many passions, but weather has always been a major one. He moved to Sterling, Colorado in 2021 to follow his dreams of working in natural resources. Abraham is also a member of the Amature Radio Emergency Service (ARES). His armature radio call sign is KF0MLS and says that if you have your license, feel free to talk to him on the air. Abraham started storms chasing in 2023, and on his first ever chase, he saw 3 tornados. Abraham hopes that his work can keep people safe during severe weather.

Dakota McGee (RIP)

Dakota McGee: I’m 27 years old, live in Iliff Colorado in Logan County. I was born and raised in Wray Colorado in Yuma County. My 2 biggest passions are sports and weather. I work in the high school sports industry in Northeastern Colorado as a sports broadcaster for KAT Country 98.3 and am a basketball referee. Weather has been a passion of mine since I was a little kid, watching Twister with my Dad always intrigued me, he would take me on top of the big hill in Wray to watch storms and lightning come in. After high school I started chasing here and there but with not the greatest technology. Over the years I’ve learned from great veteran storm chasers on how to do things. Now have been chasing hard the last 6 years; chasing in Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, Texas, Oklahoma, and South Dakota. I love the drive of going chasing, being under powerful Meso’s, just being out in Mother Nature’s powerful beauty! I’m looking forward to a good season here in 2023. I am honored to join this great team, thank you very much!

Little Dawg 7

Freddie Bryant is a storm chaser out of Fort Collins, Colorado. He has documented dozens of tornadoes across Tornado Alley. Intercepted Hurricane Laura and Hurricane Ian twice. I have witnessed massive wild fires, blizzards, and wind storms. He started storm chasing 4 years ago out of boredom but has a passion for severe weather. He has 3 dogs and 3 cats, you almost always will see his dog "Radar" chasing storms with me.

I am also a huge aviation fan so you can catch me a multiple different airshows a year or just plane spotting on the side of the road a municipal airport. I love all things aviation!
